Inkghost also offer a larger cartridge version of this product (click here) which allows for easier and less frequent refilling. The large cartridges can be filled by pouring in the ink rather than syringing in the ink as per these smaller cartridges. However the larger cartridges protrude from the front of the printer and the cartridge door needs to be removed from the printer

Brother LC3317 & LC3319 cartridges are pigment, offering advantages over dye ink such as fade life & sharpness of print. You can run these printers on dye ink however please be aware that you may have initial print quality issues when switching over. As dye ink passes through the head it cannot remove blockages caused by pigment particles. Whilst this is rare, it may require the use of inkjet printhead cleaning solution on the heads to resolve.

These cartridges utilise single use chips which can be reset using the rihac chip resetter. These chips are fitted with a non-user replaceable battery. Once this battery is dead (typically 6-12 months) the chip will need to be replaced (replacement chips available for puchase here). Currently there is only one chip manufacturer in the world and the only alternative is to use the OEM Brother chips. The OEM chips can be removed from the genuine cartridges and do not have a battery.

The chip resetters require power via a USB cable. Due to the cost of the unlimited resetter we have opted to make two other resetters which are cheaper, yet only work for a pre-determined number of resets. Chip resetters can also be purchased separately when required.
